DOLL Panther Trailer

Being the high-tech specialist for transport solutions DOLL Fahrzeugbau AG will present the first panther low-loader that can be converted into a semi low-loader at this year’s IAA in Hannover with the motto “Driving the future”.

For many years the trailers of the panther range have been a synonym for extremely high payloads, outstanding manoeuvrability, enormous axle loads, large extensions and innovative customer solutions. With the latest development in heavy haulage the trailer manufacturer has once again succeeded in surpassing itself in terms of flexibility.

The 6-axle low-loader featuring a 2-axle detachable dolly and a payload of approx. 70 t uniting all the powerful characteristics that are typical for DOLL panther trailers: a total stroke of 405 mm, the steering angle of 55° and the lowest loading height of 780 mm above the bogie are just a few examples with which this universal trailer clearly differentiates itself from the competition.

The trailer can easily be modified into a semi low-loader with a loading height of 850 mm by lifting the extendible low-bed by 45 cm and mounting it between the dolly and the running gear of the rear axle. When extending, the low-bed platform can ideally be positioned either behind the dolly or in front of the rear axle’s running gear by turning the low-bed always considering the specific cargo. The dolly itself can be loaded on the low-bed after removal which replaces the second man when driving empty.

Furthermore, the compensating gooseneck with a modifiable load capacity makes the trailer also suitable for 3-axle trucks without any problems being an additional plus in terms of profitability. When it comes to comfort, the low-loader scores with the CAN-BUS operating system which offers the driver to control all functions from one central location.

After the trade fair, the exhibit will directly be handed over to its news owner Sven Gläser from Zwickau, Saxony. For DOLL there is no doubt that the 6-axle panther low-loader will make the forwarding company’s vehicle fleet more flexible and that it will make a significant contribution to drive the future forwards.
