Ardent Hire Solutions strengthens its UK coverage with 32 new Volvo Trucks

Ardent Hire Solutions Ltd has taken delivery of a group of new Volvo FH tractor units, to join the company’s current fleet of 53 vehicles. A combination of replacement and additional vehicles, they are the first of over 30 new Volvo trucks ordered for operation.

The initial five Volvo FH 6×2 tag axle tractor units are equipped with Globetrotter cabs, Volvo’s D13K engine producing 500hp and I-Shift automated transmission system gearboxes.

The vehicles, supplied through an arrangement with MC Truck and Bus and Hanbury Riverside, consist of new FH tractor units and Volvo FMX 8×2 rigid vehicles with Andover Trailers Plant bodywork. The group have all been specified with the latest FORS / Crossrail compliant equipment, including colour cameras, to meet the highest safety standards.

Backed by Private Equity firms, Duke Street and Searchlight Capital, Ardent Hire Solutions Ltd. has the largest telehandler fleet in the UK, and one of the largest excavator fleets, with over 5,000 machines available for hire, worth over £150m.

With 14 depots providing national coverage across the UK and plans to open more, Ardent Hire Solutions Ltd. offers a new approach to plant hire, based on long-term relationships, unrivalled service and support, innovative strategic thinking and cutting edge tools and technology.

The company’s investment in the new Volvo trucks illustrates its commitment to providing the best possible national delivery service for customers.

This relationship will continue to grow as Ardent works through its growth strategy to double the size of its operations over the next five years.
