A strong showing for Goldhofer at HeavyTorque LIVE!

The Goldhofer Group is the global market leader for heavy duty and special transport solutions. The old-established company has roots that go back as far as 1705. Since then, Goldhofer has always been at the forefront of developments in the logistics industry. Today the company has more than 770 employees in Memmingen and Ostfildern, where they develop and engineer heavy haulage equipment for specific applications plus a wide range of accessories for on- and off-road working with payloads of up to 15,000 tons and more. Goldhofer’s extensive customer base benefits from a dense dealer and after-sales service network covering six continents and from transport solutions targeted at the requirements and infrastructures of the various regional markets.

As the market leader, Goldhofer will be putting in a major appearance at HeavyTorque LIVE! the most important heavy haulage trade show in the UK. The company will also be participating in The Heavies and is looking forward to some interesting contributions and lively discussions on the latest developments in the transport industry. The Goldhofer stand at the trade show itself will feature an »ADDRIVE« and a STZ-VP 5 (285). The 4-axle THP/ADD aka »ADDRIVE« has developed into the transport industry standard since its international debut at BAUMA 2016. »ADDRIVE« is the first powered heavy-duty module that combines the characteristics of a towed and a self-propelled module. With this unique combination, it has set a new benchmark in terms of tractive force, speed, versatility and economics. The additional drive disconnects automatically when maximum speed is reached and can be activated again on a flexible basis to handle particularly heavy loads and steep gradients as required.

The second Goldhofer exhibit also sets new standards worldwide: The STZ-VP 5 is the low loader semitrailer with the highest load-carrying capacity from the house of Goldhofer. Thanks to the precision-calculated geometry of the axle suspension, Goldhofer’s proven pendular axle technology ensures free oscillation of the wheel sets and even distribution of the load to the tires, even for off-road working. With a maximum axle load of 16 tons and a fifth-wheel load of 45 tons on a vehicle built with perfectly matching tried and tested components, from the extra-wide 285 mm tires to the extremely rugged frame, the STZ-VP 5 guarantees reliable transport operations with even the heaviest cargos.

Goldhofer is also making a contribution to The Heavies 2018 as Project of the Year sponsors. In its role as a transport equipment manufacturer, the Goldhofer Group particularly wishes every success to the various Goldhofer customers participating in the event.

HeavyTorque White Logo

It is with regret, that the HeavyTorque team have decided to take a stand based on an industry-wide ‘blind eye’ to the waste in the magazine and periodicals business.

HeavyTorque (#15, July 2018) was the final issue to grace the shop shelves, both on the High Street and across the travel network. As part of our onward strategy to adapt, HeavyTorque will now be distributed exclusively through controlled circulation and available through printed subscription.

Please note, this change will only affect newsstand purchasers. There will be no change for our loyal print subscribers.

Why the newsstand change? Quite simply, we can no longer (in good conscience) participate in a distribution programme that creates such an inherent waste of our precious natural resources – and money.

For those of you who have enjoyed HeavyTorque from the newsstand, we sincerely appreciate your business – and we would hope that you’ve enjoyed the magazine enough to consider a direct subscription?

Single Issues

If you prefer to purchase individual issues (one at a time), you will still have the ability to do so, both online (via the website), or by calling our offices +44 (0) 1572 3450872. Orders for single issues received before the pre-publication deadline will be mailed along with the subscribers.
