Meet the Team

Andy Adams
Editor
Tel: +44 (0) 845 1 700 300

Brainchild of the now synonymous industry title, HeavyTorque. Andy is a sales and marketing man at heart – with a true passion for B2B printed matter – and match fishing! For the past 20 years, he has been instrumental in launching and developing several industry publications through a diverse range of sectors – from metro and light rail – to construction, waste management and haulage.

Andy is a proud father of two beautiful daughters.

Vicky Binley
Commercial Director
Tel: +44 (0) 845 1 700 300

At the tender age of 21, Vicky excitedly called her Mum to announce she had landed her first job as a Telesales Executive (Emap) and could get paid for talking all day!

Fast forward to 2016 and Vicky has attained a wealth of experience in both publishing and events – at local, national and international level – across a diverse range of sectors, from – giftware to light rail – gardening to haulage (and everything in between).

Vicky enjoys holidays (who doesn’t!), family time, fancy dress parties and singing (badly).

Tracy Hurst
Accounts Director

Accounts Manager Tracy joined #TeamNimble in November 2016, following her career in the childcare, finance and business industries. Although a first-rate approach to work in the office: Tracy can often be found rocking out at concerts and travelling across Europe, enjoying the many sights!

Her favourite pastime though, is nothing more than a cost night in with friends and family.

Geena Blades
Marketing Manager

Following her time working for the Civil Service, Geena enjoyed a variety of administrative roles before joining the Nimble team in January 2016. She now takes good care of HeavyTorque subscriptions whilst assisting with all marketing activities.

In her free time, Geena enjoys baking, listening to music and reading a variety of books – from cryptic crime novels – to classic love stories (and just about everything in-between!)

Announcement

HeavyTorque White Logo

It is with regret, that the HeavyTorque team have decided to take a stand based on an industry-wide ‘blind eye’ to the waste in the magazine and periodicals business.

HeavyTorque (#15, July 2018) was the final issue to grace the shop shelves, both on the High Street and across the travel network. As part of our onward strategy to adapt, HeavyTorque will now be distributed exclusively through controlled circulation and available through printed subscription.

Please note, this change will only affect newsstand purchasers. There will be no change for our loyal print subscribers.

Why the newsstand change? Quite simply, we can no longer (in good conscience) participate in a distribution programme that creates such an inherent waste of our precious natural resources – and money.

For those of you who have enjoyed HeavyTorque from the newsstand, we sincerely appreciate your business – and we would hope that you’ve enjoyed the magazine enough to consider a direct subscription?

Single Issues

If you prefer to purchase individual issues (one at a time), you will still have the ability to do so, both online (via the website), or by calling our offices +44 (0) 1572 3450872. Orders for single issues received before the pre-publication deadline will be mailed along with the subscribers.

Our website also caters for those looking to purchase back issues. To browse Back Issue availability, follow this link: https://www.heavytorque.co.uk/shop/
