DOLL panther: Relying on proven technology

After 5 years the second trailer of the DOLL panther series found its way into the vehicle fleet of customer Deichelbohrer.

“It has to be light, versatile and flexible to ensure the transportation of concrete parts when driving trough Switzerland’s narrow curves or along narrow roads of new city areas,” was the requirement of Mike Deichelbohrer. No problem for the engineers of DOLL who quickly designed a trailer with the well-known axle technology panther fulfilling the specification of the international forwarding agency.

The 2-axle panther semi low-loader does not only have the typical characteristics of the series; it also boasts a considerable payload of 32,100 kg combined with a dead weight of only 9,900 kg. When designing the trailer it was particularly important to ensure a safe loading and unloading of goods. As the concrete parts are often loaded on support trestles the trailer has to stand in a horizontal position for loading and unloading. Especially on uneven terrain the panther scores with its single wheel suspension for the right and left side of the running gear can be operated separately. In this way, the loading platform can be adjusted perfectly. Furthermore, the trailer is also able to transport other freight by installing an intermediate table which is another plus in flexibility.

DOLL wishes its customer the utmost safety and sheer driving pleasure with the new trailer.

HeavyTorque White Logo

It is with regret, that the HeavyTorque team have decided to take a stand based on an industry-wide ‘blind eye’ to the waste in the magazine and periodicals business.

HeavyTorque (#15, July 2018) was the final issue to grace the shop shelves, both on the High Street and across the travel network. As part of our onward strategy to adapt, HeavyTorque will now be distributed exclusively through controlled circulation and available through printed subscription.

Please note, this change will only affect newsstand purchasers. There will be no change for our loyal print subscribers.

Why the newsstand change? Quite simply, we can no longer (in good conscience) participate in a distribution programme that creates such an inherent waste of our precious natural resources – and money.

For those of you who have enjoyed HeavyTorque from the newsstand, we sincerely appreciate your business – and we would hope that you’ve enjoyed the magazine enough to consider a direct subscription?
