Faymonville Introduces StreetMAX to North American Market

The 9-axle double-drop StreetMAX allows for the transport of high and heavy loads with an increased payload and manoeuvrability. The double-drop configuration helps in states where axle load and height are strictly ruled and when the planned route is particularly winding. So it is absolutely necessary to limit the space requirements.

The hydraulically liftable and detachable gooseneck enables a continuous height adjustment and a maximum of safety during the loading process. An excellent manoeuvrability is achieved thanks to the pendle-axle technology with 23’’ – 5/8 of stroke. The 9-axle trailer is king-pin steered with a steering angle up to 60 degrees.

Depending on the load that has to be transported, operator benefits from the deck interchangeability between flat deck, perimeter deck and spine deck.

With the possibility to add a 3-axle jeep dolly under the gooseneck, this front part is able to support at least 100,000 lbs. At the rear, a 3-axle bogie can be coupled with a 3-axle booster so that the payload and the manoeuvrability increase due to those extra turning points.

If additional payload capacities are needed, the StreetMAX principle allows to add a steerable 1-axle between the low bed and the rear bogie – the so called “Joker axle”! It has exactly the same technical characteristics than the other axles of rear bogie. This double-drop vehicle complies with DOT requirements for North America, while its fully galvanized frame ensures the best corrosion protection available in the market.
