Two new Cometto self-propelled MSPE 48t trailers for Teix Menéndez

From Italy to Spain: Spanish company Transportes Teix Menéndez S.L. recently received two self-propelled MSPE 48t trailers from specialist Cometto. This delivery remarkably enlarges the transport possibilities of the known company which is in full expansion.

The supply includes two 6-axle modules type MSPE 6/4/3,00 48t and two power packs with an output of 175kW. On top the impressive payload capacity, the flexibility in configuration and manoeuvrability of the MSPE 48t series represent the best compromise between platform dimension, load performance and investment. “These two self-propelled trailers are the ideal support for the 27 CombiMAX axle lines from Faymonville that Teix already has in use”, says Alessandro Giordano, Cometto sales manager, Spain.

One single 6-axle MSPE combination can reach a gross weight of 288t – amazing power on wheels! “Teix is one of the main players for the transport of wind energy towers from manufacturing sites to different ports. And these elements keep becoming heavier and bigger”, explains Alessandro Giordano the main field of activity of its customer. The MSPE from Cometto offers the usual interchangeability and expandability of the system to suit any future needs of the customer. The three meter width provides the highest lateral stability in the market with its 2020mm track, some 14 percent higher than the traditional set-up based on twin tyres.

The two power packs with a power of 175kW each and all the necessary kits for coupling and distance connection complete the supply, in order to give the customer all the possibilities to form lifting platforms of any dimension and shape, according to the specific requirements of the different cargos.

Transportes Teix Menéndez S.L is specialised in transporting the most diverse pieces with a greater weight or volume. Teix was created in 2005 and is headquartered in Asturias. From its beginnings to the present day, the company has known significant growth and today operates throughout the whole national territory.

True to the new Cometto motto: Propelled to the MAX!

HeavyTorque White Logo

It is with regret, that the HeavyTorque team have decided to take a stand based on an industry-wide ‘blind eye’ to the waste in the magazine and periodicals business.

HeavyTorque (#15, July 2018) was the final issue to grace the shop shelves, both on the High Street and across the travel network. As part of our onward strategy to adapt, HeavyTorque will now be distributed exclusively through controlled circulation and available through printed subscription.

Please note, this change will only affect newsstand purchasers. There will be no change for our loyal print subscribers.

Why the newsstand change? Quite simply, we can no longer (in good conscience) participate in a distribution programme that creates such an inherent waste of our precious natural resources – and money.

For those of you who have enjoyed HeavyTorque from the newsstand, we sincerely appreciate your business – and we would hope that you’ve enjoyed the magazine enough to consider a direct subscription?
