Van der Vlist: 80 tonne excavator to Vietnam

Van der Vlist: 80 tonne excavator to Vietnam

Although Van der Vlist is well known for transporting oversized cargo in Europe, the number of transports to destinations outside of Europe is growing rapidly. Clients are now asking Van der Vlist to move various types of cargo to and from the Far East, especially Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and China. In 2015 over 100 projects to this region were coordinated. Recently an 80t excavator with attachments and parts were transported from Germany to Vietnam. This multimodal transport started by transporting the base machine on a Van der Vlist lowbed to the port of departure where it was disassembled and packed onto flat racks and containers.

Typical cargo that Van der Vlist is handling for these locations mainly consists of oversized equipment with containers containing disassembled parts. Shipments can be door-to-port or door-to-door, depending on clients’ requirements. Van der Vlist arranges disassembly, pick up, lashing & securing of smaller parts in containers and multimodal transport for an all-inclusive price so clients will not face unforeseen outcomes.
