Van der Vlist: Just in time

Van der Vlist was recently asked to assist with the transport of a complete forging press line.

The heaviest load weighed in at 111T and the complete line was transported by  a total of 50 separate vehicles. Of this, 25 out-of-gauge transports were handled with due care and diligence by implementing a vast variety of Van der Vlist equipment: modular axle lines, euro low loaders and semi low trailers from both our heavy and light departments. All cargo was transshipped via Antwerp port and was delivered on a ‘just in time’ basis to the final destination Homburg. With an eight week lead time, the customer was able to build the press line consecutively and without delay. The press line with a total capacity of 6500T, will be operational before the end of this year.
