Wellmann Moves 3340 Tonne Topside on 128 Axle Lines NICOLAS MHD G2 SPE

Long-term NICOLAS customer, Wellmann recently completed the transportation of an oil platform topside measuring 300 x 200 meters with a total weight of 3340t on NICOLAS MHD SP modules in to Nigerdock, Lagos.

“The NICOLAS MHD SP is in use around the world under toughest conditions – our customers know they can rely on these vehicles under any circumstances. The NICOLAS MHD SP is sturdy, can be steered precisely and handles difficult conditions such as salty air or poor undergrounds without problems. The topside transported in this case has an extremely asymmetric centre of gravity – no problem for the hydraulic suspension of the MHD,” says Pierre Berret, Area Manager Sales at TII Sales.

The NICOLAS MHD SP is available as 2-,3-,4-,5- and 6-axle module and can be equipped with a 215 or 410 HP Tier IV final PowerPack. Coupling sets make the combination between different vehicle generations easy. Mechanically and electronically steered vehicles can be coupled with special adapters. The NICOLAS MHD is also successfully in use as an automatically guided vehicle.
