FAYMONVILLE’S SIX-AXLE MULTIMAX PA-X LOW-LOADER IS DESIGNED FOR THE TRANSPORT OF HEAVY MACHINES AND LOADS AND IS EXTENDABLE WITH RAMPS, PENDLE-AXLES AND EXCAVATOR TROUGH.
The low-loader’s total length is under 20m and it has a 790mm minimum loading height. Its excavator trough is 440mm and it has a 600mm stroke and a 60° steering angle. The gooseneck, with a technical fifth wheel load of 30,000kg, is based on an outer beam construction which provides a maximum loading length. The open design between the outer beams allows to load as much as possible to the front. For example, vessels can extend into the outer beams.
The hydraulic compensation of the neck enables lifting and lowering of the front area of the loading platform. The different choices of turning radius allows the customers to optimise the overall vehicle length of both tractor unit and step-frame trailer.
The use of pendle-axles results in a higher and wider central beam. The dimensions allow a high bending moment and high torsional rigidity. The PA-X loading platform is available in the widths of 2,850mm and 3,000mm and is supplied with an anti-slip coated surface.
A lockable sliding bolster with chamfered corners allows the positioning of a wheel loader. The three outriggers on the beavertail are for safety while loading and unloading.
The six-axle MultiMAX PA-X low-loader has ramps with an overall load of 80 tonnes and a wheel load of 20 tonnes. The ramp tip is opened by a separate cylinder to ensure that it’s fully open before it touches the ground. A step-less side shift is achieved with one cylinder per ramp.
