Broshuis Introduce Low Load Pendle Axle System

Broshuis introduces new pendle axle system with low load floor and more stroke

Broshuis is now introducing a new pendle axle system under the name of PL2. Based on market demand, Broshuis went in search of a low axle group on pendle axles permitting the transportation of 12 tons in the Netherlands. Thanks to these 2nd generation pendle axles they will soon be able to provide a variety of trailers with a minimum ride height of 810 mm and thereby achieve a stroke of 550 mm.

Even assembly of the pendle axle on to the trailer has undergone a complete redesign. Not only for the additional stroke, but also to create more room for the oscillation of the axle. In addition, Broshuis has looked at an improved position for the vulnerable spring brake cylinder. Thanks to a unique design there is now greater ground clearance, and so less risk of damage.

The new pendle axle system will soon be supplied on all vehicles! This is a real first for use on low loaders. The biggest advantage of this is the low transition from the low bed to the low axle group.

The specified dimensions from Broshuis are always reliable and so, furthermore, we always live up to these expectations. Customers are purchasing their plant from us. Broshuis hereby refers to the unique characteristics of the new system compared to other providers of low pendle-axle trailers:

– 550 mm stroke
– 50% more oscillation
– Spring brake cylinder in safe place
– Ultimate rustproofing

HeavyTorque White Logo

It is with regret, that the HeavyTorque team have decided to take a stand based on an industry-wide ‘blind eye’ to the waste in the magazine and periodicals business.

HeavyTorque (#15, July 2018) was the final issue to grace the shop shelves, both on the High Street and across the travel network. As part of our onward strategy to adapt, HeavyTorque will now be distributed exclusively through controlled circulation and available through printed subscription.

Please note, this change will only affect newsstand purchasers. There will be no change for our loyal print subscribers.

Why the newsstand change? Quite simply, we can no longer (in good conscience) participate in a distribution programme that creates such an inherent waste of our precious natural resources – and money.

For those of you who have enjoyed HeavyTorque from the newsstand, we sincerely appreciate your business – and we would hope that you’ve enjoyed the magazine enough to consider a direct subscription?
